Die ledige Christina Hottmann von hier will mit ihrem unehelichen Sohn Joh. David nach Nord-Amerika auswandern und ihren Weg über Bremen nehmen, daher sie für sich u. ihren Sohn zu Ausstattung des erforderlichen Reise-Paßes bittet.
Indem gehorsamst vorliegen, daß wir kein Reise-Paß-Ausfertigung entgegenstehende Hinderniß von hier aus bekannt ist. Gebe ich zugleich die - ihre Auswanderung und ihren Bürgerrechtverzicht boden - Aktenstücke vorzulegen.

The single woman Christina Hottmann from here wants to emigrate to North America with her illegitimate son, Johann David, and get under way via Bremen; thus she requests for herself and her son the issue of the appropriate passport.
Thus I dutifully set forth that we have no knowledge of any barrier in the way of issuing the passport. I enclose also items for file: her emigration and her renunciation of citizenship.

Auf Ansuchen der Christina Hottmann von Grunbach welche die Absicht erklärt hat, nach Nordamerika auszuwandern, wird von dem unterzeichneten Gemeinderaths beurkundet,
1) daß gedachte Christina Hottmann die eheliche Tochter des weil. Anton Hottmann, Gerichtsverwandter und seiner Gattin Helena, geb. Zeyher, und laut vorgelegten Taufscheins am 6. Feb. 1785 zu Grunbach geboren ist;
2) daß dieselbe zur evangelischer Confession sich bekennt;
3) daß sie zur Zeit nicht verehelicht aber Mutter von 3. Kindern ist, wovon eines im Alter von 15. Jahren die Mutter nach Nordamerika folgen will;
4) daß sie Württembergische Staats-Bürgerin und Gemeinde-Bürgerin zu Grunbach ist;
5) daß dieselbe hinsichtlich seines Prädikats underes Wissens an keinem der in dem Gesetze vom 15. April 1828 Art. 19 bezeichneten Mängel leidet;
6) daß, was ihr Vermögen betrifft, dieselbe nach glaubhaftem Ausweise [portion crossed out]

On petition of Christina Hottmann of Grunbach, who has declared her intention to emigrate to North America, it is certified by the undersigned municipal council
1) that the subject Christina Hottmann, the legitimate daughter of the late Anton Hottmann, officer of the court, and his wife, Helena, nee Zeyher, and according to the baptismal certificate presented, was born on 6 Feb 1785 in Grunbach;
2) that the same considers herself to be of the Evangelical religion;
3) that she is not at this time married, but the mother of 3 children, of whom one boy, aged 15 years, intends to follow the mother to North America;
4) that she is a citizen of Württemberg and a resident of Grunbach;
5) that the same according to her report to our knowledge suffers from none of the deficiencies listed in the law of 15 April 1828, Art. 19;
6) that, with respect to her assets, the same, according to credible evidence
